I AM NOT SCARED OF YOU ANYMORE!

I reside in Nashville with one amazing child a wonderful husband which a very blessed life. I am no one “special or notable” I love my life. But here is what many people do NOT KNOW

I have been a victim of cyberstalking and cyber harassment since May 2014. For those of you that are not familiar with these terms I will bring you up to speed..

Cyberstalking.

Cyberstalking is the use of the Internet, email or other electronic communications to stalk, and generally refers to a pattern of threatening or malicious behaviors. Cyberstalking may be considered the most dangerous of the three types of Internet harassment, based on a posing credible threat of harm.

Cyber Harassment.

Cyber Harassment differs from cyberstalking in that it may generally be defined as not involving a credible threat. Cyberharassment usually pertains to threatening or harassing email messages, instant messages, or to blog entries or websites dedicated solely to tormenting an individual.

On May 29th, 2014 I received a text from a yahoo email account that simply stated “where’s my daddy” I of course assumed this person had the wrong number and then I simply wrote it off as just that. Until the very next day I got flooded with over 200 texts coming from 2 different yahoo accounts and 1 hotmail account. These were entirely different from the first text I had received the night prior. Although they were arriving from various emails I’m a pretty smart girl and knew it was one person just using multiple fake emails. As I said these were very different BC these texts from this person knew my name, address, my child’s name, and my husband’s name. The text were so off the wall and random I honestly did not know how to respond, but to say “you have the wrong number, please leave me alone” (one stated he was a police officer and had received my complaint and demanded me to meet him to talk about it) 1) A police officer is not going to text you anything, unless you are friends beforehand of course, and he’s most definitely not going to text you from a yahoo email. 2) I had not even filed a report yet at this time

We were on family vacation when this originated, after I realized it wasn’t going to stop I had to change my number I had, had for 10 years hoping it would stop. I was wrong, DEAD wrong. That’s when the emails began coming in. On our 10 day vacation, I had received over 200 texts and 1230 emails.

The days we were flying back, I received an email stating “sorry your flight got delayed since you won’t respond I’ll just come to your house 1400 not telling street *fake* in the morning” That’s when I told my husband as soon as we land I’m ringing the police.

When I called the police they came to our home went through my phone, I constructed a statement and they said a detective would call me in a few days and if I received anymore emails then to forward them to the police department. Not even 20 minutes after they left I received an email that stated “you think a small town cop will stop me? Honey, I won’t finish till I know I’ve destroyed your life”. Of course I knew then he was watching me.

I called the cops right after and forwarded the email and was basically told a week later that they didn’t believe I was in danger and that since I didn’t know who the person was and the emails were sent using a loop back server that they couldn’t trace it! I WAS SHOCKED to put it lightly.  How could they not consider any of the emails or texts a threat? How could they not at least put an dective to it to look into something?

For about a week the emails kept coming, and I finally changed it, with hopes it would cease. Let me note, I only kept it open with actual hopes he would email me something the police would at least ascertain what they would call “threating”

He never stopped nor gave up, he found my new number or email every time I changed it 9 times total for each and I was forced to change my name 3 times, delete myself from the Internet (which is not an easy task) but he always found me. Of course I continued to file police reports, knowing they would led me no where but just to have it documented.

He even made fake Facebook accounts first under the name Steve Allen in Gallatin, TN then changed it to Steve ballen and another one under the name jimmy page that lived in Gallatin TN (which are still up and operating. The profiles are solely utilized to post pictures of me with degrading comments.

3 weeks ago I reached out to a friend at the TBI who is now taking over my case. Now I see the light at the end of the tunnel! There of course is a lot of material I’ve left out, but since this is my first blog this is the summary and I will continue to post every single day. I am no longer scared of this person, I am getting my life back, the life that he stole from me. I will make it out on top. #wponthegoIM NOT SCARED OF YOU ANYMORE, I WILL NOT BE SILENT ANYLONGER

Unless and until our society recognizes cyber stalking and harassment for what it is, the suffering of thousands of silent victims will continue.

  1. I have had similar since may 2013. The police proved useless even with evidence. They gave a light at the end of the tunnel dec2013 then they traced a phone number and ip in march 2014 & still haven’t done a single thing about it. I guess I am lucky to at least know who I am dealing with but the 4 women doing it have no life but to continue. I hope you get you’re guy traced so at the very least you know who it is. These people are gutless and sad in their own life.

    • I know who it is it’s just the fact of proving it as the prop on but now that the TBI is involved it can be proved….. What I don’t understand is why the police departments never take reports like this seriously??? If they would have the very first report I filed then we would not be having this discussion right now!

      • Tell me about it. They have been a let down at every single turn. I have had to file several police complaints two of which have so far been upheld and some are still outstanding but nothing has been done to stop these people. Hopefully your police will do a better job. Tbh I don’t think it would be possible to do worse

      • I was lucky that I had friends with the TBI. The county I live in just did not want to turn the case over to them but they got a court order and had to. But that just happened within the past month if that! I was ashamed at first because I’m not not a perfect person, and thought that maybe I had done something to deserve it, until I woke up and pastry Alibey and realize this is not right that’s when I reached out to my friends at the TBI.

      • I do think the police have a lot to answer for. The law here has proposed tougher sentences but whats the point if the police won’t investigate?

  3. stay strong and never give up, the person doing this to you will eventually get what’s coming to them, Karma is a real fickle B*tch and has a way of unleashing hell on those that do bad things.
I know you don’t know me, but you have an Allie up here in Canada. I don’t know what I can really do except encourage you to keep strong and not let who ever is bullying/stalking you silence you.

  4. The United States seems to have a increasingly proactive stance on cyber stalking and regular stalking…..at least in my area. It helps to have a strong connection to the State Police and a teenage son who knows computers to the point where he can pinpoint anyone’s location no matter how hard they try to hide and can compile any evidence I need to expose them.
On the other hand, our mental health system fails us once again by not red flagging these people and mandating help or institutionalization. If you are obsessively stalking anyone on the computer or in any other way there is something very clearly wrong with you and you need help. The evidence is there. Anyone with any knowledge of computer forensics will tell you that.
It’s just a matter of getting someone to listen to you.
Hopefully, someone will listen to you and a stint in jail or the local mental health institution and being banned from owning a computer will put these people to rest….or at least keep them on the radar.
I don’t necessarily believe in Karma but, I do believe that everything you do catches up to you and you pay the price.

  5. well said. Cyber bullying is a job for cowards because they can be keyboard warriors and whoever they want to be when sat behind a screen but go and visit them in real life and they would lose all their bravery. I am not blogging or reblogging right now due to a cyber bully who thinks every one of my blogs is about her and she dissects them to make them look like I’m attacking her, but this blog is a good one x
